Higher Education in South Korea

Admission:

South Korea is a developed country. To study here Korean and English languages both are needed. South Korea has a process for scholarship and credit transfer facilities for its students.

Degrees:

Bachelor degrees
Masters degrees
Doctoral degrees
Associate degrees

Semester:

There are two semesters in the universities of South Korea and these semesters are:

Spring semester
Fall semester

Admission is taken from March to June for spring semester and from September to December for fall semester. Generally, 4 years of full-time study is needed for bachelor degree, 2 years of full-rime study is needed for masters degree, and 2-3 years of full-time study is needed for doctoral degree.

Requirements:

For Batchelor Degree: Minimum H.S.C or equivalent examination passed students can apply for Batchelor Degree. It means that one has to complete 12 years of academic education for getting bachelor degree.

For Masters Degree: One has to complete graduation for Masters Degree. It means that one has to complete 16 years of academic education for getting master degree.

For these degrees one must have minimum six points on IELTS or minimum 79 to 80 points on TOEFL.

Apply Procedure:

You can the time for applying to the universities of South Korea in the websites of these universities. Write directly to the admnistration of the division in which you want to be admitted. You can get application form from the websites of these universities and can apply online. Then you will be informed about visa and other documents needed.

Visa Process:

You need to apply with all neccesary documents to get visa for education in South Korea. You need:

Complete application form
Passport with minimum 6 months validity
Recent passport sized photo
Bank statement
Offer letter from university
All academic certificates
Birth certificate
Other related documents

With all neccesary documents you need to contact to the South Korean Embassy of Bangladesh.

Language Effeciency:

Most of the universities in South Korea offer higher education through Korean language. So, if you want to study there you should learn Korean language.
